Albérico Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermano Garcez, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Eusébio Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Jordão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 14 minutes, Lázaro Mansilha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miramar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lázaro Mansilha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Hermano Garcez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Miramar's Albérico Vaz. Albérico Vaz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eusébio Amaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angélico Balsemão went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Eusébio Amaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Mansilha in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Lombo's Eusébio Amaro got control of the ball when Angélico Balsemão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angélico Balsemão did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Eusébio Amaro 34 minutes into the match. Eusébio Amaro made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Angélico Balsemão sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute Nivaldo Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albérico Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermano Garcez in the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Lombo's goal looked a bit too open when Angélico Balsemão came free, but Eusébio Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermano Garcez got free with Albérico Vaz in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute Lázaro Mansilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Miramar's Valério Viana got a free kick in the 76th minute. Albérico Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdir Guerra in the 76th minute.
