After a defensive mix-up in ACR Comeira's zone, Frederico Amado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubim Coelho came out of the goal and Frederico Amado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute Frederico Amado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubim Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederico Amado struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Rubim Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benfica Football Club. In the 94th minute, Jairo Benevides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Frederico Amado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rubim Coelho was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Benfica Football Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
