Spectators: 7715 (Terracing: 5828, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 100) 3 minutes into the match, Niall Legzdins dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Mendes, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimas Leiria in the 6th minute of play forced GDPortel's goalkeeper António Queiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Niall Legzdins came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the GDPortel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niall Legzdins couldn't finish the play. After having played for 10 minutes, Geraldo lago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GDPortel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geraldo lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. António Queiroga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimas Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Rodrigues in the 14th minute of play forced GDPortel's goalkeeper António Queiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niall Legzdins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. David Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 22 minutes on the clock, Sander Halliste commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GDPortel! In the 24th minute there was a penalty for SC Lavos. Patrício Graça stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving António Queiroga. 1-1. A collision led to SC Lavos getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Egídio Rebelo hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, SC Lavos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anselmo Portugal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A hard shot 35 in the game by Niall Legzdins from a close distance when the talented David Mendes managed to make a qualified save. SC Lavos's players were relieved. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niall Legzdins to strike the kick off in the second half. Adalberto Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, GDPortel's António Queiroga got control of the ball when Reinaldo Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niall Legzdins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niall Legzdins might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Mendes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niall Legzdins ran back to his position shaking his head. Niall Legzdins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Mendes having to interfere. GDPortel's Aristides Dolfo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mário Belo in the 93 minute of the game. Niall Legzdins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Lavos's Adalberto Rodrigues got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the GDPortel players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
