Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vicente Sequeira got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubim Campos in the 4th minute of play forced Gondiais's goalkeeper Rogério Rangel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Gondiais's goal looked a bit too open when Rubim Campos came free, but Rogério Rangel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, GDR Canas Senhorim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Garcia to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Nicolau Candal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Rego was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Óscar Sacramento. Gondiais's Rogério Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubim Campos in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Gondiais booed when GDR Canas Senhorim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Jordão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Cesário Belém managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gondiais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesário Belém was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Alcides Carmona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in GDR Canas Senhorim's zone, Óscar Sacramento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Rego came out of the goal and Óscar Sacramento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Sequeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Ramiro Rego made a huge save. In the 33rd minute Rubim Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36th play minutes Rubim Campos shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Rogério Rangel and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, GDR Canas Senhorim's Bernardo Garcia got a free kick in the 40th minute. Ramiro Rego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micael Caldeira in the 42nd minute of the match. GDR Canas Senhorim's Ramiro Rego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save GDR Canas Senhorim from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rubim Campos to strike the kick off in the second half. GDR Canas Senhorim's Nicolau Candal managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leandro Bernardes in the 52 minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zacarias Alcântara during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Bernardo Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. GDR Canas Senhorim's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Rangel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Rubim Campos could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Rogério Rangel however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 64 minutes, Rubim Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GDR Canas Senhorim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubim Campos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramiro Rego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Sequeira in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Sequeira in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro Rego saved GDR Canas Senhorim from getting behind. Leandro Bernardes charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Bernardes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gondiais's Leandro Bernardes got a free kick in the 71st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as GDR Canas Senhorim's Rubim Campos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogério Rangel. That made the score 0-2 after 73 minutes of play. David Colaço came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rogério Rangel could save by the left post. 82 minutes into the match, Óscar Sacramento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro Rego. GDR Canas Senhorim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Óscar Sacramento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After 88 minutes GDR Canas Senhorim's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Óscar Sacramento who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of GDR Canas Senhorim booed when Gondiais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, GDR Canas Senhorim's goal looked a bit too open when Óscar Sacramento came free, but Ramiro Rego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubim Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Rangel having to interfere.
