If Idalécio Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th match minute, SC Apressados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Reis to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes SC Apressados got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Navarro. Arturo Navarro charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Navarro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Arturo Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandrinho Lackey to strike the kick off in the second half. SC Apressados's Henrique Brás shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 54th minute of play. The shot was stopped by António Queiroga but with some difficulty. GDPortel's António Queiroga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save GDPortel from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute Geraldo lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 minutes of play, SC Apressados's Sandrinho Lackey made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. António Queiroga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sandrinho Lackey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Queiroga having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Anselmo Portugal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Vítor Baia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Idalécio Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, GDPortel's goal looked a bit too open when Idalécio Cabral came free, but António Queiroga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Idalécio Cabral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of António Queiroga, 2-2. António Queiroga made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Sandrinho Lackey sent off a good shot on target.
