After a defensive mix-up in GDR Canas Senhorim's zone, Sandrinho Lackey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Rego came out of the goal and Sandrinho Lackey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandrinho Lackey kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ramiro Rego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Idalécio Cabral in the 20th minute of play. Vítor Baia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubim Campos went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Rubim Campos came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the GDR Canas Senhorim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubim Campos couldn't finish the play. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramiro Rego made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Sandrinho Lackey sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Bernardo Garcia notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of SC Apressados's Vítor Baia. Vítor Baia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of GDR Canas Senhorim booed when SC Apressados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Idalécio Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rubim Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Apressados getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. David Reis hit a great ball. Bernardo Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

SC Apressados's Silvano Quintela was substituted for Rafael Severiano. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Garcia made a kick off. SC Apressados's Sandrinho Lackey got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute of the match Arturo Navarro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramiro Rego showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. GDR Canas Senhorim's Ramiro Rego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Quintela in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute of the match, Bernardo Garcia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vítor Baia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vítor Baia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Sandrinho Lackey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the GDR Canas Senhorim defense, Idalécio Cabral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiro Rego. The GDR Canas Senhorim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Rego should have stopped the shot. The supporters of GDR Canas Senhorim booed when SC Apressados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Quintela didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, SC Apressados's Vítor Baia got control of the ball when Rubim Campos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ramiro Rego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Lackey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, SC Apressados's goalkeeper Vítor Baia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubim Campos. The SC Apressados fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GDR Canas Senhorim were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
