The FC Tugalions fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abílio Corte-Real should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laércio Taveira to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by 叶翔昂 in the 54th minute of play forced FC Tugalions's goalkeeper Abílio Corte-Real to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 played minutes FC Tugalions got a freekick which was hit by Saúl Gentil. In the 64th minute, Viriato Campelo made a precise shot to the right of Abílio Corte-Real. Viriato Barata's late challenge caught a FC Tugalions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. FC Tugalions's Lázaro Amado shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 85th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sálvio Marinho but with some difficulty. In the 88th minute Nuno Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abílio Corte-Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Albérico Quintas fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botanorrego FC's protests and gave Albérico Quintas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Botanorrego FC's Nuno Lopes got a free kick in the 95th minute. Botanorrego FC's Sálvio Marinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Botanorrego FC from getting a goal against them.
