Bespeira FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Henrique Horta in the 4th minute. The corner ended in Henrique Horta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Botanorrego FC's Sálvio Marinho did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laurentino Barcelos during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Laurentino Barcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Serpa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sálvio Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Seixas in the 14th minute of play. Henrique Horta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th play minute Gerald Dilling came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sálvio Marinho. 1-0. Botanorrego FC's Sálvio Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurentino Barcelos in the 22nd minute of play. Máximo Lessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonçalo Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Serpa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Remo Stübner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Lopes in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gonçalo Azevedo saved Bespeira FC from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Máximo Lessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Botanorrego FC's goalkeeper Sálvio Marinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arne Chamberlain. In the 39th minute, Botanorrego FC's Albérico Quintas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Albérico Quintas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Botanorrego FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Albérico Quintas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 40th minute, Albérico Quintas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bespeira FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Remo Stübner hit a great ball. Remo Stübner charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo Stübner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bespeira FC's Remo Stübner got a free kick in the 47th minute. Botanorrego FC's Gaspar Sacramento got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Nuno Lopes made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Juvenal Serpa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gonçalo Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Leal Amado hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes, Marcelo Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botanorrego FC and the Bespeira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Botanorrego FC's Marcelo Tavares got a free kick in the 59th minute. Viriato Barata's late challenge caught a Bespeira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viriato Barata helped the player get up and apologised. Nuno Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Azevedo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerald Dilling in the 69th minute of play forced Botanorrego FC's goalkeeper Sálvio Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Botanorrego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerald Dilling came free, but Sálvio Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrique Horta struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Sálvio Marinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bespeira FC. In the 76th match minute, Bespeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Horta to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Botanorrego FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Máximo Lessa hit a great ball. Nuno Lopes scored 2-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gonçalo Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laurentino Barcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Botanorrego FC defense, Arne Chamberlain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sálvio Marinho. The Botanorrego FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sálvio Marinho should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bespeira FC had won after a very even match.
