Nélson Almeida's late challenge caught a Bairro do Espinhal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nélson Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mal Lavado SC! The referee gave Bairro do Espinhal FC a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. If Rosendo Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Eurico Queiroga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Belchior Sá. Mal Lavado SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eurico Queiroga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. A collision led to Mal Lavado SC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. António Carneiro hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Tobias Valverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeferino Paixão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorel Iuga hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Belchior Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Markel in the 39th minute of the match. Rosendo Markel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuri Franco lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Yuri Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match Bruno Antas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeferino Paixão skillfully saved the ball.

Catarino Sabrosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior Sá having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Mal Lavado SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bairro do Espinhal FC:s goal. The referee gave Bairro do Espinhal FC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dorel Iuga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mal Lavado SC's Belchior Sá. 1-4. 62 minutes into the match, Mal Lavado SC's goalkeeper Belchior Sá had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eurico Queiroga. In the 67th play minute Rosendo Markel came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Belchior Sá. 1-6. Eurico Queiroga succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 73rd playminute. Bairro do Espinhal FC made a substitution. Evandro Vilanova replaced Reginaldo Miranda. Bairro do Espinhal FC's Eurico Queiroga got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eurico Queiroga was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. Bairro do Espinhal FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Eurico Queiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Tomás Moita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Belchior Sá, passed just outside the right post. Catarino Sabrosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belchior Sá. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Catarino Sabrosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Bairro do Espinhal FC played a much better game than Mal Lavado SC and deserved their victory. The Mal Lavado SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
