Spectators: 7760 (Terracing: 5821, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 154) Hermínio Salgado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Hermes Amado kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Valongo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Salgado came free, but Rubim Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Vade's Angélico Abrantes got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermínio Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubim Ramos having to interfere. Hermínio Salgados short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Rubim Ramos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hermes Amado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Campos having to interfere. After 20 played minutes SC Vade got a freekick which was hit by Lucílio Lobato. After a rather tough play, SC Vade's Alexandrino Pimenta got a free kick in the 26th minute. Carmelo Eneko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valongo FC's Valério Fagundes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Januário Carvalhal in the 38 minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Hamilton Borba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valongo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Adão Câmara scored to the left of an out of position Rubim Ramos, making the score, 1-0. Angélico Abrantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rubim Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermes Amado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SC Vade's Lucílio Lobato got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Carmelo Eneko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Israel Campos skillfully saved the ball. Valongo FC's Rubim Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermínio Salgado in the 55th minute of play. Rubim Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermes Amado in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Israel Campos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Belchior Souto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Israel Campos having to make a save. Januário Carvalhal's late challenge caught a Valongo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Januário Carvalhal helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Vade's Januário Carvalhal got a free kick in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermínio Salgado in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubim Ramos saved Valongo FC from getting behind. In the 70th minute of the match Rúben Alvarenga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rubim Ramos skillfully saved the ball. In the 74th minute, Rúben Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the game, Hamilton Borba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valongo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Vade the free kick. After 76 played minutes Valongo FC got a freekick which was hit by Hamilton Borba. Rubim Ramos came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Vade's Hermínio Salgado. But to his dismay, Hermínio Salgado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. SC Vade's Israel Campos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save SC Vade from getting a goal against them. Hamilton Borba kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Hermínio Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermes Amado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Israel Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valongo FC's Rubim Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermínio Salgado in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, SC Vade could leave the field as winners, despite Valongo FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
