The White Star Barreiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Plácido Azenha should have stopped the shot. Plácido Azenha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Cardoso went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute Telmo Rebocho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Plácido Azenha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, fc dragoom's Laureano Ornelas got a free kick in the 31st minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Guilherme Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. White Star Barreiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guilherme Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guilherme Alvarenga in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ben Vanger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, White Star Barreiro's Plácido Azenha got control of the ball when Paulo Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ben Vanger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miromir Orling was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Paulo Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Plácido Azenha was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 57th minute, White Star Barreiro's Guilherme Alvarenga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. 61 minutes into the match, White Star Barreiro's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Cardoso came free, but Plácido Azenha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. White Star Barreiro's Plácido Azenha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Cardoso in the 71st minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Juliano Parente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. White Star Barreiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave fc dragoom the free kick. Plácido Azenha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Cardoso in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Ronaldo Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ben Vanger was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Plácido Azenha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ben Vanger was a little too slow when Miromir Orling got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 3-3. Frederico Sales hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When White Star Barreiro's Miromir Orling in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye fc dragoom's goalie prevented a goal.
