Paulo Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the match, Domingos Monteiro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Luso's Paulo Santos. Paulo Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Domingos Monteiro took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Santos. Paulo Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Mateus Sacadura scored 0-4 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Domingos Monteiro scored 0-5 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Pinhal in the 27th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Luso got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Morais. Paulo Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Pinhal went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. A collision led to Sport Clube Lusitania getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Norberto Delgado hit a great ball. The long shot by Alcino Esteves in the 34th minute really tested Alex Gueifão's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Paulo Santos came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Clube Lusitania's Mateus Sacadura. But to his dismay, Mateus Sacadura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 39th minute Cristiano Pinhal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Luso's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Sacadura came free, but Paulo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Sport Clube Lusitania's Cristiano Pinhal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. After 45 played minutes Sport Clube Lusitania got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Delgado.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Pinhal was the one to do the kick off. Alcino Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Alex Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Monteiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Domingos Monteiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Paulo Santos made a huge save. Paulo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Salvado in the 66th minute of play forced Sport Clube Lusitania's goalkeeper Alex Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Salvado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Alex Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sport Clube Lusitania getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Simão Prates hit a great ball. Alexandre Cerqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Gueifão having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Luso's goalkeeper Paulo Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingos Monteiro. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristiano Pinhal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Santos. That made the score 0-9 in the 73 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateus Sacadura got free with Paulo Santos in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Alexandre Cerqueira came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Luso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Cerqueira couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Domingos Monteiro notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Luso's Paulo Santos. Paulo Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Alcino Esteves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cássio Lameirinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sport Clube Lusitania booed when Luso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alcino Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Pinhal in the 90th minute of play. Paulo Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Pinhal in the 95th minute of the match. Sport Clube Lusitania played a much better game than Luso and deserved their victory. The Luso players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
