Nuno Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquim Mourão charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Mourão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of €uros booed when Scarrone FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Mourão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juvenal Ruas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Plácido Corte-Real tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Carlos Manso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Plácido Corte-Real was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The Scarrone FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. €uros were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Granja to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Carlos Manso put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Plácido Corte-Real. If Vicente Granja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Plácido Corte-Real was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to €uros getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Vicente Granja hit a great ball. €uros's Plácido Corte-Real played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Manso in the 78th minute of play. After 87 played minutes €uros got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Teles. In the 88th minute, Carlos Manso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Plácido Corte-Real was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Nuno Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Vicente Granja sent off a good shot on target. Scarrone FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
