Rebordosa AC's Lucílio Zarco got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Quirze got free with Joaquim Figueiras in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquim Figueiras made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Lucílio Zarco sent off a good shot on target. After 14 minutes, Irinel Pelin made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sanjurge's Joaquim Figueiras tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sanjurge's Herberto Bessa suffered a sore thigh after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 17th minute, one of Rebordosa AC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rebordosa AC. 24 minutes into the game, Sanjurge's Mateus lago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diamantino Monsanto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Joaquim Figueiras stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Quirze's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Rebordosa AC's Lucílio Zarco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquim Figueiras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 44 minutes into the match, Mateus lago had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diamantino Monsanto. Rebordosa AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateus lago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Rafael Quirze came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Rebordosa AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Quirze couldn't finish the play. In the 55th match minute, Sanjurge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarcísio Telinhos to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Figueiras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Irinel Pelin went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the match, Rafael Quirze notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Sanjurge's Joaquim Figueiras. Joaquim Figueiras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Quirze in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Figueiras saved Sanjurge from getting behind. Lucílio Zarco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Joaquim Figueiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Lucílio Zarco put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquim Figueiras. If Rafael Quirze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Quirze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucílio Zarco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Hélio Franco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sanjurge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rebordosa AC the free kick. Hélio Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 91 minutes of play, Rebordosa AC's Rafael Quirze made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Figueiras was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Rafael Quirze's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquim Figueiras was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
