The supporters of Academia EFC booed when Piao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Damásio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes, Piao FC's Rafa Silva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nuno Caldas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Piao FC reached it. Nuno Caldas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Vilas Boas in the 21st minute of play. With his leg Nuno Caldas managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Piao FC's Renato Aragão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Piao FC's Durval Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toma Pau in the 43rd minute of play. Mateus Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nuno Caldas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafa Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafa Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renato Aragão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dumitru Bodiu took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durval Soares. In the 63rdth minute of the game Renato Aragão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia EFC's Nuno Caldas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaspar Vilas Boas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Nuno Caldas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piao FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
