In a very dangerous position, a player in Colo-Colo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! After having played for 34 minutes, Lucas Reid Clanny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colo-Colo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Reid Clanny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dean Bannister showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott Lock in the 38th minute of the match. Jonny Dougan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stew Jenkinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Reid Clanny in the 70th minute of play. Lucas Reid Clanny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stew Jenkinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Reid Clanny, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute, Scott Lock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Scott Lock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whitton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Scott Lock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Bannister breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 87 minutes of play, Whitton AFC's Scott Lock made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dean Bannister was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Colo-Colo's zone, Scott Lock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Bannister came out of the goal and Scott Lock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 played minutes, Colo-Colo's Dominic Edwards shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stew Jenkinson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Colo-Colo reached it. Whitton AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
