George Spaceys short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Kieran Blair to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kirk Major kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The supporters of London Colney FC booed when Corby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rod Whitmore didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Kieran Blair took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Spacey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marlon Wells had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Corby's Martin Corby got a free kick in the 66th minute. Kirk Major charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kirk Major the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. That was the end of his participation in the match. Kirk Major kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Kieran Blair stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grant Button's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. London Colney FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Corby had won, even though London Colney FC had held more of the ball.
