Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gaz Shipton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bobby Watts hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Marek Musgrove shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Wellings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Southall City's Dave Wellings played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaz Shipton in the 10th minute of play. If Josh Fawcett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Southall City's zone, Gaz Shipton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Wellings came out of the goal and Gaz Shipton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josh Fawcett got free with Dave Wellings in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dave Wellings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaz Shipton in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the Southall City defense, Gaz Shipton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dave Wellings. The Southall City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dave Wellings should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Josh Fawcett got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Will Bramhall succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 36th playminute. In the 38th match minute, Southall City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Warner to maneuver through the defense. Gaz Shipton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dave Wellings read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The Northern Ireland Babe's Josh Fawcett was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 48th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brian Warner to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Gaz Shipton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dave Wellings. Southall City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaz Shipton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Josh Fawcett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Brian Warner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes The Northern Ireland Babe got a freekick which was hit by Josh Fawcett. Dave Wellings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaz Shipton in the 65th minute of play. Josh Fawcett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dave Wellings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Wellings showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaz Shipton, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 82nd minute, Will Bramhall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darryl Eyre kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Dave Wellings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josh Fawcett in the 89th minute of play. Dave Wellings showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaz Shipton, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josh Fawcett in the 93rd minute of play forced Southall City's goalkeeper Dave Wellings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richie Wheeler charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richie Wheeler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of The Northern Ireland Babe booed when Southall City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richie Wheeler didn't get a good kick on the ball.
