With a left leg Kieran Blair saved London Colney FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marlon Wells got free with Dominic Yorke in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, The Northern Ireland Babe's Dominic Yorke got control of the ball when Marlon Wells tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Marek Musgrove hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in The Northern Ireland Babe's zone, Guy Vassell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominic Yorke came out of the goal and Guy Vassell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marlon Wells could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dominic Yorke made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damion Blueman during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dominic Yorke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy Vassell , who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
