The supporters of Tatsfield FC booed when Lincoln United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martyn Rea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marc Poynton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmy Longley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Donaghy in the 17th minute of play. Tatsfield FC's Carl Robertson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Tatsfield FC from getting a goal against them. Jimmy Longley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Donaghy's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Romeo Donaghy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Longley having to interfere. Jimmy Longley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jimmy Longley came out of the goal and Romeo Donaghy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
