Brák Vopnafirði's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elfar Darrason was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sigurgestur Valbergsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ástgeir Snæsson in the 22nd minute of play. Ástgeir Snæsson struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Sigurgestur Valbergsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Farfa Blönduósi. The supporters of Brák Vopnafirði booed when Farfa Blönduósi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Friðbertsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eldgrímur Þorgerisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gauti Erlendsson having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Eldgrímur Þorgerisson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elfar Darrason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigurgestur Valbergsson having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ástgeir Snæsson in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sigurgestur Valbergsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elínmundur Vignisson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Farfa Blönduósi were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ástgeir Snæsson to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Sigurgestur Valbergsson managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Farfa Blönduósi's Elfar Darrason fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 54th minute, Elfar Darrason ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sigurgestur Valbergsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 58 minutes into the match, Brák Vopnafirði's goal looked a bit too open when Ástgeir Snæsson came free, but Sigurgestur Valbergsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ástgeir Snæsson in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Abraham Friðbertsson's late challenge caught a Brák Vopnafirði's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abraham Friðbertsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Farfa Blönduósi's Abraham Friðbertsson got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Farfa Blönduósi's zone, Eldgrímur Þorgerisson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gauti Erlendsson came out of the goal and Eldgrímur Þorgerisson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brák Vopnafirði's Sigurgestur Valbergsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Brák Vopnafirði from getting a goal against them. Indriði Þorleifsson kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brák Vopnafirði's goalkeeper Sigurgestur Valbergsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the last second Sigurgestur Valbergsson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ástgeir Snæsson in the 91stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ástgeir Snæsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sigurgestur Valbergsson having to make a save. After 96 minutes of play, Farfa Blönduósi's Abraham Friðbertsson made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sigurgestur Valbergsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Brák Vopnafirði supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Farfa Blönduósi's performance. The match ended with a win for Farfa Blönduósi.
