Kiltulla's Hickey McCollion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Kiltulla from getting a goal against them. Hickey McCollion made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Beccan Bayes sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Rownun McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swanlinbar Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Rownun McNamara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hickey McCollion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blayne McGlenn couldn't finish the play. Rownun McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hickey McCollion having to interfere. A collision led to Kiltulla getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Beary Rogers hit a great ball. Hickey McCollion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rownun McNamara in the 88th minute of play.
