Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Patraic McAlphie took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Bercan Lavine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gearóid Dimson was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 5th match minute, Ballinamult Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevion Deery to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Patraic McAlphie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bercan Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearóid Dimson having to interfere. In the 12thth minute of the game Patraic McAlphie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballinamult Utd's Gearóid Dimson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Patraic McAlphie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gearóid Dimson. Ballinamult Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patraic McAlphie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bercan Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearóid Dimson having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Skeahanagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Banan Tierney to maneuver through the defense. Gealan Willson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyce Willson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 29 minutes, Artur McBjarton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skeahanagh and the Ballinamult Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Skeahanagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur McBjarton to maneuver through the defense. Blamhac Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Ballinamult Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Bercan Lavine came free, but Gearóid Dimson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patraic McAlphie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gearóid Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Patraic McAlphie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gearóid Dimson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bercan Lavine in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gearóid Dimson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Bercan Lavine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Gearóid Dimson made a huge save. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 54th minute, but Gearóid Dimson got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Ballinamult Utd hanging dry this time. 59 minutes into the match, Skeahanagh's Patraic McAlphie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gearóid Dimson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Bercan Lavine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patraic McAlphie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Patraic McAlphie kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gearóid Dimson. That made the score 0-3 in the 71 minute of play. The supporters of Ballinamult Utd booed when Skeahanagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donal Crowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Bercan Lavine made a precise shot to the right of Gearóid Dimson. Ballinamult Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. With an all-out effort, Skeahanagh's Gearóid Dimson threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patraic McAlphie, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 87 minutes into the match, Beacan Deans dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gearóid Dimson, 0-5. Gearóid Dimson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patraic McAlphie, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Bercan Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearóid Dimson having to interfere. Gearóid Dimson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patraic McAlphie, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Ballinamult Utd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Skeahanagh were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
