The supporters of Gortleatilla booed when Ballinaboy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cullan Lavine didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ballinaboy defense, Reginald Dempsey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Silke. The Ballinaboy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Silke should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Keelin John was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballinaboy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gortleatilla the free kick. After 28 played minutes Ballinaboy got a freekick which was hit by Keelin John. In the 33rd match minute, Gortleatilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randal Coyle to maneuver through the defense. After 35 minutes, Reginald Dempsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortleatilla and the Ballinaboy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reginald Dempsey hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When %teams%'s Keelin John was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 36 minutes into the game. Trevor Gough was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. In the 79th minute, Artuir McSteve reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Damian Silke. The goal made the score 1-4. Rylie Matthews hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Artuir McSteve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Gortleatilla could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ballinaboy throughout the match.
