If Brenna Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 played minutes Knockbodaly got a freekick which was hit by Bren Horgan. The supporters of Kildoon booed when Knockbodaly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caroll Myler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Kildoon's Harold Glen Crowe got a free kick in the 24th minute. Kildoon's Hickey Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Walker in the 30th minute of play. Arnold Branson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brenna Moran's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Kildoon's Shey Tierney managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bren Horgan in the 34 minute of the game. The supporters of Knockbodaly booed when Kildoon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Payton McNamee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belock McStephen's late challenge caught a Kildoon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Belock McStephen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Knockbodaly's Belock McStephen got a free kick in the 37th minute. Arnold Branson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brenna Moran in the 38th minute of the match. Belock McStephen kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Kildoon's Brenna Moran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnold Branson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 46 played minutes Kildoon got a freekick which was hit by Harold Glen Crowe. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Robert Walker made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Payton McNamee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute, Belock McStephen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brenna Moran's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Arnold Branson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Harold Glen Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Knockbodaly's Peadair MaCollin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 67th match minute, Kildoon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Taylor to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the game, Knockbodaly's Peadair MaCollin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorcan Barrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Branson having to interfere. Brenna Moran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnold Branson having to make a save. With a little luck, Knockbodaly's Arnold Branson got control of the ball when Brenna Moran tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kildoon had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
