Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Andrew McNamee made the kick off and thus started the match. Brian Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Mulroog getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Dawayne Palmer hit a great ball. Blanaid McGlynn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew McNamee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Breasal Beckett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Blanaid McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 played minutes Mulroog got a freekick which was hit by Keelin Ferguson. If Andrew McNamee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Toran Cassin made a precise shot to the right of Darick McWillie. Clonegal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a little luck, Clonegal's Darick McWillie got control of the ball when Toran Cassin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toran Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darick McWillie having to interfere. 31 minutes in the game, Gil Byrne fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Darick McWillie having to interfere. Darick McWillie didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mulroog's Gil Byrne shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Mulroog's Rourke Deans got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Breasal Beckett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blanaid McGlynn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Blanaid McGlynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breasal Beckett, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gil Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Byrne in the 52nd minute of play forced Clonegal's goalkeeper Darick McWillie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Toran Cassin came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Mulroog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toran Cassin couldn't finish the play. Clonegal's Darick McWillie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Byrne in the 58th minute of play. Breasal Beckett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Blanaid McGlynn made a huge save. A collision led to Clonegal getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Payton McCollion hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Clonegal's zone, Toran Cassin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darick McWillie came out of the goal and Toran Cassin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Mulroog's Toran Cassin, in the 73rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Mulroog. In the 76th minute, Gil Byrne made a precise shot to the right of Darick McWillie. Clonegal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Andrew McNamee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Mulroog's goalkeeper Blanaid McGlynn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Breasal Beckett. In the 83rdth minute of the game Toran Cassin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clonegal's Darick McWillie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th minute, Clonegal's Andrew McNamee dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Darick McWillie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toran Cassin in the 93rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toran Cassin in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darick McWillie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Darick McWillie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Byrne in the 99th minute of the match. Mulroog were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Clonegal for a fine match.
