Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mayo's Breandan Scully started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Alan Savic got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Bardain Hutton fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mayo's protests and gave Bardain Hutton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bardain Hutton to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Mayo's goalkeeper Brecc Palmer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter McLian. Barr Mullan hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Cathal Perth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breandan Scully's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Brecc Palmer didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Breandan Scully in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cathal Perth saved Shruthair AFC from getting behind. In the 31st match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bearach McCready to maneuver through the defense. Breandan Scully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cathal Perth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Binnech McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Cathal Perth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Breandan Scully went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Shruthair AFC's Alan Savic got a free kick in the 38th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Rian McJohn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mayo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shruthair AFC the free kick. In the 45th minute, Shruthair AFC got a penalty, and Donncha Moran placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Shruthair AFC's Alan Savic got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Mayo's Brecc Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Savic in the 57th minute of play. Bardain Hutton kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Arnold McPhilip charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnold McPhilip the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mayo's Arnold McPhilip got a free kick in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Shruthair AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bree Grant hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barr Mullan during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mayo booed when Shruthair AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barr Mullan didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 78th minute of the match Bardain Hutton completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bardain Hutton a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Mayo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bardain Hutton hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes Mayo got a freekick which was hit by Arnold McPhilip. Brecc Palmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter McLian, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute, Alan Savic ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brecc Palmer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
