Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Ballinalack's Críostóir Kirby in the 2nd minute got a chance for a shot 2nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballydivin's goalie prevented a goal. Bow Johnson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Brann McNamara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 6th minute Críostóir Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brann McNamara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Art Silke charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Art Silke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute of the match, Bow Johnson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Brann McNamara was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Bow Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brann McNamara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Críostóir Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Comhghall Dillon struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Harrigan McAlphie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballydivin. After 16 minutes of play, Ballydivin's Bard McFrancise made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harrigan McAlphie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Comhghall Dillon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harrigan McAlphie having to make a save. Ballinalack's Harrigan McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bard McFrancise in the 20th minute of play. Comhghall Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Harrigan McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Comhghall Dillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Críostóir Kirby in the 32nd minute of play forced Ballydivin's goalkeeper Brann McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ballydivin getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ros Gillmour hit a great ball. Raymond Martyn was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Comhghall Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harrigan McAlphie having to interfere. Gil Grant charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gil Grant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ballydivin booed when Ballinalack was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Grant didn't get a good kick on the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Críostóir Kirby made a kick off. Bow Johnson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Brann McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Ballydivin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braedon McStephen to maneuver through the defense. Brann McNamara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Críostóir Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Bard McFrancise dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Harrigan McAlphie, 0-2. In the 66th match minute, Ballinalack was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Críostóir Kirby to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, Bow Johnson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Brann McNamara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brann McNamara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peadair Crowe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Comhghall Dillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tipper McStephen kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Ballinalack's goal looked a bit too open when Bard McFrancise came free, but Harrigan McAlphie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
