Lisgorey's supporters rose to their feet, but Bret Hamilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phelan Johnson in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brite Tierney saved Lisgorey from getting behind. Perry McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phelan Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Perry McJohnny scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caroll Rutherford, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perry McJohnny in the 37th minute of play forced Myrtlegrove's goalkeeper Caroll Rutherford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caroll Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perry McJohnny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Branigan McPhilip charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Branigan McPhilip the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Myrtlegrove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Branigan McPhilip to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the game, Liam Barrett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Myrtlegrove's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lisgorey the free kick. Liam Barrett kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The Myrtlegrove players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lisgorey were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phelan Johnson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Caroll Rutherford, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Berry McNamee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Brite Tierney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caroll Rutherford was a little too slow when Bret Hamilton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-2. Myrtlegrove's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Bret Hamilton scored to the left of an out of position Caroll Rutherford, making the score, 0-3. Berry McNamee hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The long shot by Bebhinn Walker in the 86th minute really tested Caroll Rutherford's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Perry McJohnny struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Caroll Rutherford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lisgorey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bret Hamilton in the 96th minute of play forced Myrtlegrove's goalkeeper Caroll Rutherford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Lisgorey players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
