Beara McSteven might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rorry Colwell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beara McSteven ran back to his position shaking his head. Rorry Colwell was a little too slow when Blathmacc Cronin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. Barr McPhil struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Perry Willson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ardamore FC. Rorry Colwell was a little too slow when Beara McSteven got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ardamore FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! The supporters of Ardamore FC booed when Derrymullen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Healey McDecland didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Seoirse Cooney fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ardamore FC's protests and gave Seoirse Cooney a yellow card for diving instead. The wind increased when Blathmacc Cronin made the kick off in the second half. Rorry Colwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blathmacc Cronin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Derrymullen's Perry Willson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bivadas McCollion in the 63rd minute of play. Barr McPhil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Perry Willson made a huge save. Beara McSteven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rorry Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ardamore FC's zone, Blathmacc Cronin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rorry Colwell came out of the goal and Blathmacc Cronin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beara McSteven struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Rorry Colwell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derrymullen. Blathmacc Cronin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rorry Colwell having to interfere. In the 76th minute Beara McSteven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rorry Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ardamore FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Boethis Dunne hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Brite McTom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rorry Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Ardamore FC's goal looked a bit too open when Beara McSteven came free, but Rorry Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Derrymullen fully deserved thier win.
