Ardán Cronin charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ardán Cronin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Caltragh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ardán Cronin to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Kaine Myler sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caltragh's Daithi Myler didn't even have to move. Derryheena's Timothy Hamilton suffered a torn muscle in his foot after 25 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ardán Cronin was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ardán Cronin hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Beglan Tracy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daithi Myler having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Caltragh got a freekick which was hit by Russ McTom . In the 30th minute of the match Kaine Myler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daithi Myler skillfully saved the ball. Beglan Tracy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daithi Myler having to make a save. Caltragh's Daithi Myler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Caltragh from getting a goal against them. Beglan Tracy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daithi Myler having to interfere. Daithi Myler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beglan Tracy in the 43rd minute. Russ McTom hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Derryheena's Kaine Myler broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 54th minute Derryheena were awarded a corner. Kaine Myler went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Derryheena's corner Kaine Myler fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Daithi Myler quite easily take care of the ball. Boethis Cooney blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daithi Myler having to make a save. Bran McGlenn was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Derryheena getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Boethis Cooney hit a great ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Brenda McDonald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caltragh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brenda McDonald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Caltragh getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Russ McTom hit a great ball. Daithi Myler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beglan Tracy's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Beglan Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Daithi Myler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beglan Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Russ McTom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caltragh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derryheena the free kick. After 91 played minutes Caltragh got a freekick which was hit by Russ McTom . Beglan Tracy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daithi Myler having to make a save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
