Gortaheera
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carson Rutherford took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carson Rutherford got free with Cassidy Mullan in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute, Alex Moran made a precise shot to the right of Rory Scully. Gortaheera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carson Rutherford got free with Cassidy Mullan in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 14 minutes, Boyne McPeter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortaheera and the Cleenaghoo players grew even worse after the yellow card. 23 minutes into the match, Gortaheera's goal looked a bit too open when Donncha Doherty came free, but Rory Scully reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rory Scully showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donncha Doherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Rory Scully came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Cleenaghoo's Donncha Doherty. But to his dismay, Donncha Doherty quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 32 minutes, Reidy Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gortaheera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reidy Willson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carson Rutherford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cassidy Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Cassidy Mullan managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Gortaheera's Carson Rutherford fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 43rd minute Alex Moran suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Gortaheera's Boyne McPeter got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Boyne McPeter off the ground. After 44 played minutes Gortaheera got a freekick which was hit by Boyne McPeter.

When Reidy Willson came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Gortaheera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reidy Willson couldn't finish the play. Beehan Quinnless scored 0-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rory Scully, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gortaheera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reidy Willson in the 60th minute. Thomas Savic was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Carson Rutherford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gortaheera's supporters rose to their feet, but Carson Rutherford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cassidy Mullan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brion McFrank during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Cleenaghoo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brion McFrank to maneuver through the defense. Brett Grant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Rory Scully made a huge save. Reidy Willson kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Cassidy Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Healey Dalton in the 89th minute of play. When Thomas Savic fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gortaheera's protests and gave Thomas Savic a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cleenaghoo booed when Gortaheera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Savic didn't get a good kick on the ball.
