The supporters of Kilcurry booed when Coalbrook FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bhrighde Brennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kennedy Branson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Loughlin McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Coalbrook FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Begg Quinnless hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Kilcurry's Boudibiua Bayes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Loughlin McJon. Loughlin McJon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Tevin Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kennedy Branson in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loughlin McJon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute, Alfred Barrett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tevin Grant came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Kilcurry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tevin Grant couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donelle Prunty in the 35th minute of play forced Kilcurry's goalkeeper Don Willson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kilcurry's Don Willson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donegal McLiam in the 41st minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

With his leg Don Willson managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Coalbrook FC's Donelle Prunty fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 55th minute, Donelle Prunty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 played minutes Coalbrook FC got a freekick which was hit by Baolach Gallagher. After some careless play in the Coalbrook FC defense, Kennedy Branson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Loughlin McJon. The Coalbrook FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Loughlin McJon should have stopped the shot. Alfred Barrett's late challenge caught a Coalbrook FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfred Barrett helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Kilcurry was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Barrett to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Coalbrook FC's Donegal McLiam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Don Willson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Loughlin McJon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boudibiua Bayes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Loughlin McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kennedy Branson took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loughlin McJon. Loughlin McJon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. There was no doubt that Kilcurry were the better team. Kilcurry's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
