Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cloghroe's Conaill McNamara started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bailey Gillmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Banon Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lee Delaney made an important save on a dangerous shot by Auley Grant in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Bradagain Gillmour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conaill McNamara in the 18th minute of play forced Ranns FC's goalkeeper Lee Delaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lee Delaney was a little too slow when Conaill McNamara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ranns FC's Bradagain Gillmour got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cloghroe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Brenda McMichel in the 31st minute. A nice corner shot did that Brenda McMichel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lee Delaney quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Colm Doherty hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Auley Grant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lee Delaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conaill McNamara in the 35th minute of play. Fergus Perth kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The corner ended in Brenda McMichel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ranns FC's Lee Delaney did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sameer Sheridan during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sameer Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rowley McAaron to strike the kick off in the second half. Lee Delaney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conaill McNamara's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Lee Delaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auley Grant in the 54th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Banon Ghee successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience was convinced that Conaill McNamara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lee Delaney was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Auley Grant in the 59th minute of play forced Ranns FC's goalkeeper Lee Delaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Cloghroe's goalkeeper Banon Ghee had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bailey Gillmour. The supporters of Ranns FC booed when Cloghroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donan Walker didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ranns FC defense, Conaill McNamara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lee Delaney. The Ranns FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lee Delaney should have stopped the shot. After 76 minutes, Bairthmead McAlphie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cloghroe and the Ranns FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, one of Cloghroe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cloghroe. A collision led to Cloghroe getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Riddock Duggan hit a great ball. With a little luck, Cloghroe's Banon Ghee got control of the ball when Bailey Gillmour tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ranns FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
