After having played for 8 minutes, Becc Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garrykonnedy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Becc Mullan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9thth minute of the game Glenn Gallagher who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Runalunn FC's Harvey Johnson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Runalunn FC's Harvey Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Becc Mullan in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Runalunn FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Timothy Mullan was slow to take the kick. During this time Garrykonnedy's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Garrykonnedy's corner Timothy Mullan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Harvey Johnson quite easily take care of the ball. Beiti Brennan kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Devlin Ferguson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bevan Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Runalunn FC's Peadair Robinson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bevan Rutherford narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Leon Perth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glenn Gallagher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harvey Johnson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Runalunn FC's zone, Becc Mullan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harvey Johnson came out of the goal and Becc Mullan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Devlin Ferguson made a precise shot to the right of Bevan Rutherford. Garrykonnedy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Leon Perth was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 47th minute, Leon Perth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Becc Mullan was the one to do the kick off. Peadair Robinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bairrionn MaCollin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Becc Mullan could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Harvey Johnson however easily saved by the left post. In the 62nd match minute, Runalunn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bourns Mulvihill to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garrykonnedy's goalkeeper Bevan Rutherford, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Runalunn FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gerard McJohn hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the game, Beiti Brennan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Harvey Johnson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 80 minutes, Becc Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garrykonnedy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Becc Mullan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Runalunn FC's Harvey Johnson got control of the ball when Beiti Brennan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Becc Mullan spun around in front of the goal 83 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Runalunn FC's goal. Runalunn FC's Harvey Johnson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Runalunn FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Garrykonnedy getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Glenn Gallagher hit a great ball. Runalunn FC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Garrykonnedy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gerard McJohn took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Devlin Ferguson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Devlin Ferguson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bevan Rutherford having to interfere. Garrykonnedy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
