Trevor MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glen Costello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Ryland Branson sped through Clonbulloge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brenainn McStephen. If Ryland Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryland Branson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Clonbulloge's Dugan Savic got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 70th match minute, Clonbulloge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abbot McBrandon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Belgard Utd booed when Clonbulloge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Banon Gollogley didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glen Costello in the 77th minute of play forced Belgard Utd's goalkeeper Trevor MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Belgard Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Glen Costello came free, but Trevor MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Belgard Utd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Glen Costello fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Bren Johnson came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Clonbulloge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bren Johnson couldn't finish the play. Clonbulloge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
