In the 3rdth minute of the game Tipper Colwell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Victoria Crossers's Birr Robinson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Tipper Colwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duff Callaghan in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Birr Robinson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Victoria Crossers's Birr Robinson got control of the ball when Duff Callaghan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Tipper Colwell took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Birr Robinson to make any attempt to save it. Tipper Colwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Birr Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Troy Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tipper Colwell in the 23rd minute of play forced Victoria Crossers's goalkeeper Birr Robinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Victoria Crossers's zone, Tipper Colwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birr Robinson came out of the goal and Tipper Colwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 played minutes Victoria Crossers got a freekick which was hit by Breffni McGlynn. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Breanainn McFrancise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonymorris's supporters rose to their feet, but Breanainn McFrancise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birr Robinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoria Crossers's Birr Robinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tipper Colwell in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Cloonymorris's Duff Callaghan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birr Robinson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 40 minutes of play, Cloonymorris's Duff Callaghan made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Birr Robinson was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tipper Colwell was the one to do the kick off. Brasil Caffey struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Bray McGlenn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Victoria Crossers. Birr Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duff Callaghan in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duff Callaghan in the 60th minute of play forced Victoria Crossers's goalkeeper Birr Robinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Tipper Colwell made a precise shot to the right of Birr Robinson. Victoria Crossers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duff Callaghan in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Birr Robinson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tipper Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birr Robinson having to interfere. Ross Tracy kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Cloonymorris's Duff Callaghan got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Tipper Colwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonymorris's supporters rose to their feet, but Tipper Colwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birr Robinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bannon Silke in the 91st minute of play forced Victoria Crossers's goalkeeper Birr Robinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Duff Callaghan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birr Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tipper Colwell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Birr Robinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Ross Tracy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cloonymorris's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
