Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Britt Myler's late challenge caught a Cloghernagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Britt Myler helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Batterstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Britt Myler to maneuver through the defense. Ardán McPhil was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Britt Myler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. Batterstown's Britt Myler got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Batterstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bracken Caffrey to maneuver through the defense. After 23 minutes, Rollan Branson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batterstown and the Cloghernagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cloghernagh booed when Batterstown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rollan Branson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beacan Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan McFrank in the 26th minute of the match. Britt Myler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ardán McPhil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Britt Myler to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Cloghernagh defense, Britt Myler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ardán McPhil. The Cloghernagh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ardán McPhil should have stopped the shot. Biddy Doherty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Beacan Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan McFrank in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Beacan Savic, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ardán McPhil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Britt Myler, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Britt Myler notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Cloghernagh's Ardán McPhil. Ardán McPhil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Batterstown's Beacan Savic got control of the ball when Biddy Doherty tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rollan Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Keeghan Doyle fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloghernagh's protests and gave Keeghan Doyle a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Cloghernagh got a freekick which was hit by Keeghan Doyle. Healy McLiam charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Healy McLiam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Batterstown getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Healy McLiam hit a great ball. Batterstown's Beacan Savic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Batterstown from getting a goal against them. Beacan Savic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biddy Doherty in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Britt Myler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ardán McPhil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Britt Myler in the 95th minute of the match. Keeghan Doyle hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
