Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Baird Hutton got the match started through his kick off. Bradon Tierney struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Gavin Frankson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandyford. The Sandyford fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Sandyford's Blathma Quinnless looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aron Robinson during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aron Robinson hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Gavin Frankson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradon Tierney in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Blathma Quinnless had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavin Frankson. Maryfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blathma Quinnless was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ryland Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 32 minutes, Bradon Tierney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandyford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradon Tierney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bradon Tierney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 played minutes Sandyford got a freekick which was hit by Brasil Moran. 46 minutes in the game Hayes Harkin got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Riddoc McCready was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sandyford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maryfield the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sandyford's zone, Ryland Taylor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick McBrand came out of the goal and Ryland Taylor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute Blathma Quinnless shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavin Frankson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Sandyford getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Donlevy Jameson hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Bradon Tierney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavin Frankson. Maryfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bradon Tierney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After a rather tough play, Sandyford's Brasil Moran got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match Hayes Harkin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patrick McBrand skillfully saved the ball. Baird Hutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryland Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick McBrand having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Baird Hutton made a precise shot to the right of Patrick McBrand. Sandyford's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. 93 minutes into the match, Sandyford's goal looked a bit too open when Baird Hutton came free, but Patrick McBrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ryland Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Patrick McBrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Hayes Harkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick McBrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryland Taylor in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sandyford eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
