Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rollin McPhil kicked off to start the match. In the 10th minute, Fintan Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 played minutes Sneem got a freekick which was hit by Gill McNamara. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Iarla Prunty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cork's supporters rose to their feet, but Iarla Prunty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bar McLian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gearalt Barrett made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Bil Molloy sent off a good shot on target. If Dermot Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Donagh Molloy's late challenge caught a Cork's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donagh Molloy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, one of Sneem:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sneem. 26 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Sneem's Rollin McPhil fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Rollin McPhil's late challenge caught a Cork's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rollin McPhil helped the player get up and apologised. Rollin McPhil hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Cork's Gearalt Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bil Molloy in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the game Pembroke Coyle made a throw-in which Donlevy McCollion played forward. Bar McLian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renny McWilliam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, Sneem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rollin McPhil to maneuver through the defense. Pembroke Coyle made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cork's Berke McOliver. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dermot Jameson to strike the kick off in the second half. Brendan Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Bar McLian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fintan Duggan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. Séamus Delaney placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Dane Bayes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gearalt Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rollin McPhil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dermot Jameson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Bar McLian skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 78 minutes into the match, Sneem's goalkeeper Bar McLian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dermot Jameson. With a little luck, Sneem's Bar McLian got control of the ball when Dermot Jameson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Sneem booed when Cork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aubrey McPaul didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dermot Jameson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Bar McLian made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dane Bayes during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sneem's Dane Bayes got a free kick in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Sneem's goal looked a bit too open when Dermot Jameson came free, but Bar McLian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dermot Jameson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bar McLian having to make a save. Bar McLian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dermot Jameson in the 98th minute. The Sneem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cork's performance. The match ended with a win for Cork.
