Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Blathma Cassin started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Oldleighlin AFC's Leonard Lavine got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beckett Hunt during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Oldleighlin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Beckett Hunt. Blanaid McGlynn was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Blathma Cassin might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonard Kelly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blathma Cassin ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Donohill defense, Blathma Cassin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonard Kelly. The Donohill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonard Kelly should have stopped the shot. After 15 played minutes, Oldleighlin AFC's Berkley Tierney shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonard Kelly came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oldleighlin AFC reached it. Petran Todd took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonard Kelly. Donohill's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 21st minute Blathma Cassin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Kelly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Oldleighlin AFC's goalkeeper Ailín McLaughlin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Riddock Tierney. Blathma Cassin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Leonard Kelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Donohill booed when Oldleighlin AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dillon Myler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baoithin McCready recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Oldleighlin AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Beckett Hunt hit a great ball. The Donohill players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oldleighlin AFC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baoithin McCready to strike the kick off in the second half. Ailín McLaughlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baoithin McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Oldleighlin AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Baoithin McCready came free, but Ailín McLaughlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Oldleighlin AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Binnech Walker to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd match minute, Donohill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baoithin McCready to maneuver through the defense. Riddock Tierney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Rowley Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oldleighlin AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rowley Kirby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Riddock Tierney notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Oldleighlin AFC's Ailín McLaughlin. Ailín McLaughlin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Many of Oldleighlin AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Oldleighlin AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Donohill were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
