Kilcolgan's Kerem Ömer was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 26th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Kerem Ömer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilcolgan's supporters rose to their feet, but Kerem Ömer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bren Cronin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
