The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sabobage's Harrigan McMichel got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barin Coyle got free with Heremon Mulvihill in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiomoid Duggan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiomoid Duggan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Toren Bayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heremon Mulvihill stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kennedy Holt's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Baine Savic's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Heremon Mulvihill firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 32nd minute, Beehan Palmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sabobage's Toren Bayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beehan Palmer in the 35th minute of play. Bannan McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Beehan Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beehan Palmer struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Toren Bayes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coolshinnagh. Coolshinnagh's Tiomoid Duggan got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute, Baine Savic ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heremon Mulvihill was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Toren Bayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beehan Palmer in the 57th minute of the match. Heremon Mulvihill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baine Savic in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Sabobage booed when Coolshinnagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beehan Palmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baine Savic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baine Savic took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heremon Mulvihill. Heremon Mulvihill dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Beehan Palmer's late challenge caught a Sabobage's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beehan Palmer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Beehan Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baine Savic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heremon Mulvihill having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Coolshinnagh's goal looked a bit too open when Kennedy Holt came free, but Heremon Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91stth minute of the game Kennedy Holt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coolshinnagh's Heremon Mulvihill was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Toren Bayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beehan Palmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Coolshinnagh's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
