Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Babe Kelly started the match with the kick off. Denny Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 10th minute, Gattabaun's Babe Kelly dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Bard Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Delaney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Donan McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Babe Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donelle McBrandon having to interfere. Drumkeeran's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Babe Kelly 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 32nd minute, Donan McTom made a precise shot to the right of Donelle McBrandon. Drumkeeran's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Donan McTom succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. In the 39th minute Denny Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bard Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Gattabaun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis McWill to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gattabaun booed when Drumkeeran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradley Palmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Donan McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denny Rutherford made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Gattabaun's Burke McCready got a free kick in the 55th minute. Denny Rutherford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bard Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Logan Caffrey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denny Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bard Mullan having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Gattabaun got a freekick which was hit by Dennis McWill. Bard Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Rutherford in the 64th minute of play. Harold Delaneys short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Bard Mullan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Drumkeeran's Donelle McBrandon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donan McTom in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Denny Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bard Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bard Mullan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny Rutherford, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. With a little luck, Gattabaun's Bard Mullan got control of the ball when Harold Delaney tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Drumkeeran's goal looked a bit too open when Donan McTom came free, but Donelle McBrandon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Logan Caffrey hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Gattabaun's Dennis McWill got a free kick in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harold Delaney got free with Bard Mullan in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Babe Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gattabaun's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
