Spectators: 7452 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Baoithin Gough started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Teddy Gollogley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brian Johnson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beccan Cooney in the 9th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Baltovin's goal looked a bit too open when Baoithin Gough came free, but Banon Cronin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Baltovin's zone, Baoithin Gough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Banon Cronin came out of the goal and Baoithin Gough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teddy Gollogley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Johnson having to interfere. Beccan Cooney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Brian Johnson made a huge save. Baoithin Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Baltovin's Banon Cronin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordan Horgan in the 54th minute of play. Tierney John charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tierney John the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute of the match Baine Horgan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brian Johnson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Henry Callaghan charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henry Callaghan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baoithin Gough got free with Banon Cronin in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baltovin's goalkeeper Banon Cronin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Banon Cronin made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Baoithin Gough sent off a good shot on target. Brian Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teddy Gollogley in the 96th minute of the match.
