Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Baoithin Gough took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Leansaghane's Brian Johnson got control of the ball when Barley McFrancise tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Leansaghane getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Iarla McStephen hit a great ball. The supporters of Gowlin booed when Leansaghane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iarla McStephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Biviti Costello from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Brian Johnson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thanks to some nice moves Barley McFrancise could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Brian Johnson however easily saved by the left post. Brian Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bairrionn McVictor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leansaghane's Baoithin Gough got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bairthmead Rutherford hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bairrionn McVictor to make the kick off. Denny Caffey hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Leansaghane's goal looked a bit too open when Brasil McTommy came free, but Brian Johnson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Leansaghane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iarla McStephen to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Barley McFrancise left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gowlin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 63rd minute, Denny Caffey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute of the match Biviti Costello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brian Johnson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Iarla McStephen got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Iarla McStephen hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Brian Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brasil McTommy in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barley McFrancise in the 71st minute of play forced Leansaghane's goalkeeper Brian Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Blanaid McJohn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Bairthmead Rutherford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83 played minutes, Gowlin's Bradagain McPhil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brian Johnson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gowlin reached it. After 96 played minutes Gowlin got a freekick which was hit by Ardán Quinnless. Gowlin's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
