Fionn Quinnless helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Fionn Quinnless hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duff McPhil made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Kevin Gillmour sent off a good shot on target. Brayden McSteven took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beartlai Gollogley. Beartlai Gollogley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ryley Deans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duff McPhil having to interfere. With a little luck, Illanbaun Utd's Duff McPhil got control of the ball when Kevin Gillmour tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kevin Gillmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Duff McPhil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tierney McGlynn kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Illanbaun Utd got a freekick which was hit by Paudraig McLaughlin. Paudraig McLaughlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beartlai Gollogley having to interfere. Brayden McSteven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beartlai Gollogley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paudraig McLaughlin in the 41st minute of the match. Brayden McSteven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kevin Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duff McPhil having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Illanbaun Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Branson Scully to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paudraig McLaughlin to make the kick off. Paudraig McLaughlin struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Beartlai Gollogley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Illanbaun Utd. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Brayden McSteven got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 57 played minutes Illanbaun Utd got a freekick which was hit by Brayden McSteven. Ryley Deans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Duff McPhil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paudraig McLaughlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beartlai Gollogley having to interfere. A collision led to Illanbaun Utd getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Branson Tierney hit a great ball. Duff McPhil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryley Deans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brayden McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beartlai Gollogley having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Tallaght United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Illanbaun Utd:s goal. Beartlai Gollogley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paudraig McLaughlin in the 75th minute of the match. Brayden McSteven's late challenge caught a Tallaght United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brayden McSteven helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Illanbaun Utd's Brayden McSteven got a free kick in the 78th minute. Kevin Gillmour might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duff McPhil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kevin Gillmour ran back to his position shaking his head. After 82 played minutes Tallaght United got a freekick which was hit by Banvan Taylor. With a little luck, Tallaght United's Beartlai Gollogley got control of the ball when Boudibiua McFrank tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fionn Quinnless hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Brayden McSteven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 90 in the game by Brayden McSteven from a close distance when the talented Beartlai Gollogley managed to make a qualified save. Tallaght United's players were relieved. Tallaght United's Ryley Deans got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duff McPhil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Gillmour, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Illanbaun Utd walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
