Spectators: 8051 (Terracing: 6039, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 160) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rorke Morrison got the match started through his kick off. The audience was convinced that Rorke Morrison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Colm Kirby was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 8th match minute, Dublin Athlétic™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harrington McLaughlin to maneuver through the defense. Quaid McFrank kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Dublin Athlétic™'s Colm Kirby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rorke Morrison in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Fintan Hunt had to leave the field with a concussion. When Flannery Tracy fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dublin Athlétic™'s protests and gave Flannery Tracy a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Knockgaffon booed when Dublin Athlétic™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flannery Tracy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kaine Dempsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Banvan Benson came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Knockgaffon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Banvan Benson couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Banvan Benson made a precise shot to the right of Colm Kirby. Dublin Athlétic™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Banvan Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dublin Athlétic™'s goalkeeper Colm Kirby, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Bairee McJames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes, Bairee McJames mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dublin Athlétic™ and the Knockgaffon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes, Knockgaffon's John Holt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Colm Kirby came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Knockgaffon reached it. After having played for 40 minutes, Banvan Benson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knockgaffon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Banvan Benson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44thth minute of the game Banvan Benson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dublin Athlétic™'s Colm Kirby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Banvan Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Banvan Benson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Banvan Benson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Colm Kirby, passed just outside the right post. Banvan Benson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Colm Kirby made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Rorke Morrison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Fiachra Delaney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rylee Rogers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute Banvan Benson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colm Kirby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Dublin Athlétic™'s Colm Kirby got control of the ball when Banvan Benson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fiachra Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Rylee Rogers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Kyle Robinson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dublin Athlétic™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knockgaffon the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Dublin Athlétic™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Robinson to maneuver through the defense. Colm Kirby made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Banvan Benson sent off a good shot on target. Kyle Robinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rylee Rogers having to interfere. Rylee Rogers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fiachra Delaney in the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Knockgaffon's Banvan Benson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Colm Kirby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Knockgaffon's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
