Cleary Grant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Cleary Grant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paudraig McLaughlin in the 29th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Branson Scully shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleary Grant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleary Grant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Peadar McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. Lissivigeen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Paudraig McLaughlin scored to the left of an out of position Cleary Grant, making the score, 0-5. Bren MaCollin hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Brayden McStevens short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Cleary Grant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 69th minute, Branson Scully hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th match minute, Illanbaun Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paudraig McLaughlin to maneuver through the defense. Cleary Grant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paudraig McLaughlin in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Illanbaun Utd's zone, Gearoid McGlenn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duff McPhil came out of the goal and Gearoid McGlenn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tipraite McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lissivigeen's supporters rose to their feet, but Tipraite McBrand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duff McPhil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gearoid McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleary Grant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Branson Scully, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Cleary Grant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brayden McSteven in the 84th minute. Peadar McWill lost his temper 85 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 85th minute, one of Lissivigeen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lissivigeen. The referee gave Illanbaun Utd a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Boudibiua McFrank, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lissivigeen's Cleary Grant. 0-6. Duff McPhil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tipraite McBrand in the 93rd minute of play. Duff McPhil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brannagh Beckett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 98 minutes into the game, Terrence McBrand recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cleary Grant. Terrence McBrand showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. The Lissivigeen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Illanbaun Utd were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
