With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brenna McWillie in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beartlai Gollogley saved Tallaght United from getting behind. If Brenna McWillie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th match minute, Tallaght United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pembroke McPhilip to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 18 minutes, Antaine Branson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Earlstown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antaine Branson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fionn Quinnless charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fionn Quinnless the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fionn Quinnless kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenna McWillie in the 22nd minute of play forced Tallaght United's goalkeeper Beartlai Gollogley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Tallaght United defense, Antaine Branson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beartlai Gollogley. The Tallaght United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beartlai Gollogley should have stopped the shot. Tallaght United's Beartlai Gollogley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antaine Branson in the 32nd minute of play. Antaine Branson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beartlai Gollogley having to interfere. Earlstown's Brenna McWillie got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beartlai Gollogley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brenna McWillie in the 44th minute of the match. Brenna McWillie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beartlai Gollogley having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antaine Branson to strike the kick off in the second half. Brenna McWillie in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Beartlai Gollogley, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
